Langtang trekking also called Langtang valley trek which goes through Langtang national park. Popular trekking names in Langtang area is Langtang valley trekking, Langtang and Gosainkund trekking, Ganja La pass trek, Gosainkund trekking, Gosainkund and Helambu valley trekking, Helambu valley treks and Shivapuri hilly valley of Kathmandu trekking. The Langtang treks are located in central Nepal and north of Kathmandu. Popular places of Langtang trekking are Kyanjing Gompa and Tserko Ri who reach Kyanjing Gompa they will make day excursion to Tserko Ri from where see the best view of Himalayas.
Langtang and Helambu trekking region is the third most popular trekking route in Nepal. The three major areas are Langtang, Gosainkund and Helambu and these can be combined in many different ways to make trek from 9 to 19 days long. Langtang trekking is a narrow valley that lies just south of the Tibetan border.
Langtang trekking is panoramic from where you can see best view of snowy peaks Langtang Lirung, Gang Chhenpo, Naya Kangri, Dorje Lakpa, Ganesh Himal and if you go Gosainkund and Helambu you will see Mt. Manaslu, Gourisankar and many more white peaks.
A visit to the Langtang trekking offers an opportunity to explore villages, to climb small peaks and to visit glaciers at a comfortably low elevation. Because there are good opportunities for moderate climbing excursions, you should allow a few extra days for exploration. According to legend, a lama following a runaway yak discovered the valley. Hence the name - Lang is Tibetan for yak and tang (more correctly dhang) means to follow. Yaks still live in the valley, but they now share it with trekkers.
Gosainkund is lake so Hindu pilgrimage are visit the Gosainkund but backpackers love to cross Lauribinayak pass which is elevation 4610m and Helambu valley is green valley and easy trekking so people trek Helambu area to see nature beauty and visit the old monasteries in the region.
Getting in Lantang Area – Access to Helambu is particularly easy and quick. Sundarijal, which is one of the most convenient starting points, is an hour’s drive from Kathmandu. Other road 5 hour drives away at Malamchi pul. Langtang the choice is limited –drive to Dhunche in Rasuwa district. The road continues to Syabrubesi from where also Lantgang treks can start. Hindu pilgrimage site and popular tourist place Gosainkund can be reached from either of the two routes. However, the way via Rasuwa is earlier bus leave regularly from Balaju Bus Park.
